D.C. Shaw and Company Solicitors have over 30 years experience in successfully dealing with personal injury claims. The compensation we could get you would exceed the claims you may receive from the Injuries Board.ie.

We can agree your fees with you. We are fair. We would have a high success rate in most claims.

Your Solicitor will help explain the accident laws and accident reports to you so you know and understand your rights. Your Solicitor will be able to give you valuable viewpoints about your case and information or how to handle your injury.

He will also obtain a Medical Report from your Doctor or Specialist which will be needed in support of your claim.

Your Solicitor will gather all necessary information about your accident needed.

When your Solicitor is communicating with the Insurance Company or their Solicitors he will receive more serious and thorough responses than you would if you were contacting them. Working with your Solicitor can help resolve your claim faster with less stress and anxiety. Your Solicitor will also get you a higher award than you would get if you were trying to do it yourself. If your case goes to Court you will need a Solicitor to act for you.

IN WORK

Does an accident report have to be filled out at the time of the accident?

Ideally, an accident report should be completed at the time of the incident noting what happened, who witnessed both the accident and the conditions that caused the accident along with any other relevant information. The requirement for a report is generally a work place policy, rather than mandated by law. If a report is not completed at the accident location or occurred at private location or was not observed by others, compile a record of what happened yourself. Include information such as:

  • 1. Who was present?
    2. The comments made by those who saw or helped after the accident.
    3. If possible, take photos of the area.
    4. If you were physically hurt, have your injury checked out immediately to help substantiate your claim.
